you will have to go into the IIS settings and specifically allow the exe to run
    open up IIS manager
    select Web services extensions
    click add new extension

    hope this helps

    started a topic IIS7 and CGI-BIN

    IIS7 and CGI-BIN

I finally have a Vista Business with IIS7 on it. Am trying to add a cgi-bin directory and set it to run from local host. All the screen look different in IIS7 and I'm failing to get even a 'hello world' (hello.exe) to run from the cgi-bin directory with the following URL

    http://localhost/cgi-bin/hello.exe

Works fine on my XP machine.
