    Glad to see important accelerations!

Reading about the new features of PB9 I'm surprised finding all those capabilities I always desired for my work!
This will finally support my way of programming on my 120 MB MechaniCAD the way I whish to do it. Using here one EXE as com server and more than 100 interacting DLLs, it is great to see that even forwarding is implemented now. UDFs containing UDFs may be much simplier to handle (just C++ like w/o macro defs). This is one of the most important updates ever!

PowerBASIC installations do not rely on any registry entires nor any hidden dlls. Everything needed to run PB is located in the PB directory. You will not have any problems with multiple versions installed. I have almost every version of PBWin and PBCC installed on my main computer at work and never had a problem.

Naver had a problem with older versions on my computers. In terms of space, PB installs certainly aren't bloatware, so that's hardly an issue.

The upgrade to PBCC5 or PBWin9 will not check for a previous install, only the free updates (4.04, 8.04, etc.) check for a previous install. If you do not know your previous versions serial number, that is ok just enter "look up" or "forgot" or something like that in the serial number field when ordering. We will verify your purchase of the previous versions when filling your order.

I have all my PB version working side by side in different directories.
Better to keep old one unless you have ported all your code into the new version.

Not a good idea. I am a very good beta-tester as were the others and Bob is well... the best, but there may be incompatibilities. There is no need to uninstall as far as I know.

No, the upgrade is most likely not a patch, but a full install. If I were you, I'd prefer to uninstall the current copy before installing the new one.

I think you just need your PB serial number.

Can't wait to upgrade... will probably upgrade my PB/CC 4 to 5 first and PB/WIN 8 soon after playing with the new features.

So far it looks very impressive! Kudos to the whole PB team!
