I would like to select the Audio channel to record from ( Line in or WAV) and after searching the Microsoft site The command seems to be MCI_WAVE_INPUT but I do not know how to use it.
Any help would be appreciated

Thanks for the link to the code you have already posted. I have seen it but did not realise that it could be used to select the source for any recording. I am sure that I will be able to finish my project now.
