  • Easy API search on MSDN via Google

I am using a similar technique to obtain links via Google about API calls.

    For example:
    Code:
    [url]http://www.google.nl/search?hl=en&source=hp&q=site:msdn.microsoft.com+GetDlgItem&btnG=Google+Search[/url]
Just change GetDlgItem for your desired API call.

I find that a peculiar way to search considering MSDN has a search right at the top of the page AND you can narrow it down to Win32/COM right on the search.

    Code:

    [URL]http://social.msdn.microsoft.com/Search/en-US/?Refinement=86&Query=GetDlgItem[/URL]

Example usage is pretty thin at MSDN and, for me, the learning curve is less steep in most cases if there is some. So, if no examples I go to Google Search Code. The code found is almost invariably written in 'C' but I suspect most of can read 'C' even though we may struggle to write it.
