Why do people keep on asking for GUI components for PBCC?

There's a perfectly good PBWin for creating user interfaces which only costs $100 and would make the task a lot quicker and easier while allowing the developer to use all his non-GUI code as is.

I would say it could be useful if you needed to use TELNET (i.e., in a remote access scenario) but I don't believe any of these console GUI interfaces work via TELNET anyway. I know the CC color commands don't work.

While I have long owned both compilers, I have found from writing API based code that I can build a UI Window in PBCC by using one of its options to turn the console off. I just can see a reason to bother as PBWIN work fine.

Because they want to create programs with a GUI.

As you point out, creating GUI programs is probably easier using PB/Windows... but then you will have those same users asking for GUI components for use with PB/Win!

Because people finally figure out that the perfect environment for using a computer is a console, not a desktop.
