Over the years I have distributed a number of small utility programs using a program called FreeExtractor. It had a few deficiencies that I grew tired of living with, so I wrote my own setup extractor that pretty much serves my needs. I tried to keep it compatible with the install strategies of Vista, and since it sets up an executable in Program Files, it requires an administrator.
The attached zip file contains the files necessary to demo the wizard, even including a simple little adding machine program, so that the user doesn't have to go hunt one up. It is free to use any way you need, and I have verified its use with Windows 98 SE, XP, and Vista.
