I believe there was some sort of falling out between PBCrypto's site owner and PB, this might be completely wrong.

If so then I'd assume it was just left there until the domain name expired.

From what I see DNS does not resolve WWW.PBCRYPTO.COM so that appears to be the case.

That's a real shame. It was very convenient for finding PB encryption and compression routines (all organized in an easy to browse format). Fortunately, you can still access it via the wayback machine.

I think I can host the Archive part as a subdirectory off my domain
name. Don't remember who hosted it after Wayne decided to quit, but
someone must have off-line back-ups.

How many bytes for all the source code? (I'm not interested in
moderating a forum or questions and answers section.) I've got a few
on-line megabytes available, but not much time!

Same deal as last time it changed hands, I won't change the existing
code or credits.

Seems a DNS problem.
ns.dynu.com 209.240.66.184
ns1.dynu.com 216.160.3.244
are in charge of domain.
ns.dynu.com seems down while ns1.dynu.com des not resolve domain.

Yes, it is up because DNS ns.dynu.com is up.
So definitely a DNS problem.

This brings up a good point though. I know a few people have some excellent PB related sites. I wonder if it wouldn't be possible to mirror some of them in case of future problems.

I would be willing to donate some web space. Any ideas?

On another note about this site as a result of Wayne
sending me an email after seeing this thread:

As many of you know Wayne retired from maintaining this site
quite some time ago. I have been hosting it since about year
prior to that, and have and will continue to host it as a
thank you to the PB community and a way to give back a little.

However, this site is still looking for someone to take over
the maintenance and updating. I'm sure there is lots of new
code that could be added to the site. So if you think this
would be a fun project let me know and I will hook up the
most committed "bidder of time."

If needed, I would be able to have myself or one of my staff
convert the site to a Mambo system so that it doesn't take
any web or php knowledge to update the system. Wayne is also
withdrawing any and all copyrights, so the site can start over
with a new About page.

So, if this has you interested, please send me and email and we
will take if from there.

If you have any other pb****.com website ideas where a this
type of code resource makes sense, let me know and I would
probably be willing to host other such sites free of charge
as well.
