  • Need a good icon and cursor editor

I had Microangelo98 installed on an old computer that needs to be retired. I have no idea where the original installation disk might be.

Any suggestions for a good icon and cursor editor (free or $$$)?

    Bern,

I've used Microangelo since its first release (and a few other products of theirs). Not only do I think its one of the best, but their tech support is fantastic. I lost my license number at one point, and figured I'd probably have to purchase the full version again, but a quick note to their tech support got me my license number and download link to the version I owned. Needless to say, I updated after awhile.

Their Tech Support Page is here. I'd try that route first.

Free (or at least no additional cost)? Fast Delivery? No Setup?

I use AWIcons, it's excellent for editing small icons and cursors. I used to use Visual Studio's image editor, but v6 was useless for 24BPP/32BPP images so I switched. I think the Microsoft Image Editor has these color limits as well.

I second the motion for awicons. I found it a little hard to get used to but it does do icons and cursors

Im sorry i have to say it, i love PB, everybody knows, but the image editor
doesnt do a good job with icons.

I will try myself some of the suggestions here...

                    "Good" is subjective.

For me, "Good" is the Image Editor supplied with the compiler.

"Really Good" is the $9.95 I spent on a DVD containing 50,000 images I can copy and paste.

Thanks for the suggestion Joe. I've sent them an email and will see what happens.

Looks like everyone has their own favorites and there is no consensus #1 app for this chore.

I seem to have lost the image editor when I made the upgrade to 8.04.....

                        Did I screw something up?
