      Pierre,

Just a last word about the MovieBox audio volume:

It is based on the put_volume method of the IBasicAudio interface, as documented in MSDN there.

And it is being used like this:

      CASE %ID_TRACK_VOL
      UseVolume& = MIN&(((100 - lParam) * -50) + 1250, 0)
      CALL IBasicAudio_put_Volume(pIBasicAudio, UseVolume&)

as you can see nothing fancy (except COM), there must be really something wrong with your config or with the codec being used to play your movies.

By the way what is the extension of the movies causing this havoc:
      - if AVI are they DivX or Xvid?
      - if WMV are they WMV1, WMV2, WMV3, WMVP?
      - mpeg or mpg?
      - MKV?
      - QT?
      - MOV?

        Hey Patrice,

I was hoping you'd come back with this.

Test was done with avi & wmv file.

If I move the volume without loading any files the crash is immediate.

When playing a file and moving the volume quickly and continuously
then the crash will occur after a while.

If I load a file and go in the pause mode then
I can move the volume as much as I want without problems.

Added: I also tryed on a different XP machine, the one with dx 9.0c, same result.

          Pierre,

Ok, this is something i can reproduce when there is no movie playing.
Because then the pIBasicAudio pointer is null, thus I should test first for a valid COM object pointer.

          I will fix it, thanks!

              Perfecto mundo Senior Patrice.

While the cursor was on the volume control,
I did put the mouse in a Sherman-William paint shaker
              and everything is fine now.

The old "null pointer" beast have been killed once more.

Again, thank for such beautiful work.

                  MovieBox2 (updated)

                  3 problems have been fixed:

1 - On some XP config, the movie was not shown until MovieBox resized.
2 - While resizing HD movie the aspect ratio was not kept.
3 - Mute mode was not preserved while moving the audio volume.

                  The new version is there

                      Martin,

Not yet, because that would require adding two new buttons (like in BassBox) to navigate forward and backward in the play list.

Added to the wish list :xmas:

                        MovieBox 2.0 (has been updated)

                        MovieBox 2.0 has been updated.

Detection and display of HD movie has been improved, while the true video size is shown on the status bar.

True HD movie size is 1920 x 1080, using this new version of MovieBox you will see that many movies claiming to be HD movie are indeed closer to HD ready than full HD

                        The latest version is there

                            Patrice,

I can't seem to be able to download the PB 9 version.
Every time I try to down it, it cuts out at about 5 meg so I get a corrupted file.

I downloaded a 7 meg file from another web site without any problem.
I just seems your download always stops part way for some unknown reason.

I tried now and it downloaded just fine for me. ZIP integrity check is also OK.
