... until you'll open up a malicious crafted PDF to harm your system.

I do use the Foxit Reader at work, but I don't like that with it you cannot view a .pdf within a Firefox tab after opening it from a hyperlink.
How different the preferences are. First thing I turn off in all browsers: to open documents within a browser window. Too less control, too much security issues.

If I understood the info on their site correctly, the annotation tools is a payed add-on.
But you don't need those if all you want to do is 'view' pdf's.

    Kind regards

Wow is that Excellent and FAST!!

I just downloaded and installed it. Free, apparently full-featured, and very VERY fast when compared to Adobe Acrobat. Thanks for the heads up.

I vote for it, too. I have been using it for about six-months. Very fast, extremely compatible. Starts very fast without being a "TSR" like Adobe. Great quality for graphic intensive files, like Comics, Maps, RPG Adventures.

    Foxit PDF Reader

I've worked with Acrobat Reader for years and years.
To be honest, I was never really pleased with the product.
Too big, too many DLLs, CPU hugging while printing, etc.

I was very pleased when I found Foxit Reader for Windows.
They have a kind of "PowerBASIC approach".
Nice GUI, well designed, light, fast, freeware,
loaded with features, Perfect for my need.

2.5 megs instead of 20 megs for Acrobat Reader.

I'm using it since a couple a month, so far, so good.
