I do hope many of my customers will take a closer look at MLG. That was the purpose of my post.
This is exactly why I purchased MLG when it first came out. I use EZGUI quite often and when I saw how easy it was to integrate MLG into the EZGUI designer, it was a no brainer.

I'd also like to toss this point out. Since these forums are free to us, and PB has done a pretty good job of defining each category, I would suggest that nobody is forced to ready anything that bothers them. Therefore, if there is something posted that isn't of interested, why not just skip it? If a posting breaks the rules, there is a little exclamation point one can click on to inform the forum admins. If they deem the post inappropriate, it will be deleted. If however, the PB admins don't find problems with it, then why not just let it be?

Of course, I don't see any reason not to make AN observation, but to perpetuate things just seems like a waist of time to me.

    Brice,

EZGUI users visit this forum too and many may have an interest in My Little grid. A number of EZGUI users use EGrid, some use SIGrid and some may want a simpler, smaller and less expensive Grid control.

By updating the EZGUI sample code for the new MLG and making it available, this hopefull will encourage some EZGUI users to purchase MLG (or at least to try the demo).

My post was for the benefit of James and MLG.

Also I have sold a number of my DDT Designer as well and it turns out MLG works well with that as well. I haven't written code for that yet, but the EZGUI sample code may help them get started. The code style is similiar.

I felt my post was to for the benefit of James and his MLG control.

I do hope many of my customers will take a closer look at MLG. That was the purpose of my post.

My post here won't do a single thing for my own sales. Hopefully it will increase sales for James.

As a third party developer, I know how hard it is to build up sales. If my posts help other third party developers (especially those who create custom controls) sell more, then I am happy.

    Brice,

If you download james demo grid , you will notice the file ezmlg.zip in it. If you unzip it, you will notice it is EZGUI sample code and an EZC file for using the grid control in my Visual Designer.

I have dealt with James in the past about My Little Grid to help make sure it is compatible with both my EZGUI Designer and my EZGUI Utility Dialog Designer (DDT). I was not high jacking the thread, but simply updating what I had already provided to James.

I added Chris's ezmlg.zip file to the mlgdemo.zip download file. Thanks Chris. Chris's EZ Utility Dialog Designer (DDT) works well with My Little Grid also. I like your Utility Designer and it is very very reasonably priced. Any Powerbasic user that programs in DDT ought to do themselves a favor and check it out.

    James,

Here is an updated ezmlg.zip file with an updated version of the EZGUI sample code for MLG. It incorporates most of the code found in the MGLDemo.bas example, such as formating the control and processing the notification events, using EZGUI style code.

    Here is a screenshot:

    My Little Grid update

I just uploaded updates to My Little Grid. I had gotten a request from a user to darken the currently selected cell highlight which I did. Also apparently I introduced a glitch a while back that caused the cursor to move to the end of the edit box while editing a cell. Sorry about that- it is fixed.

My Little Grid comes in two versions. The demo version is freeware which allows for 26 columns and 5000 rows in grid. This may be all many of the users need so feel free to use this version as you wish. The purchased version allows for 256 columns and 2,000,000,000 rows and only costs $35.

My Little Grid is meant to an easy to use, basic grid with databases in mind. Please take it for a spin around the block.

    and to purchase
