Testing it now. Still plenty of work to do but FireFly 3 is looking really good. It has many new features and is much faster code generating and compiling.

Hopefully it won't be too long before it will be ready.

      Hi,

      I am just testing 2.90.
I have PB Win 9.0 - and the docs say, that the CHM Helpfile is able to be used, but when I click on the little Helpbook icon, he tells, that the HLP file is not there, if I change the name to ...CHM he says the HLP file is damaged.

How could I use the new helpfile ?

A other question was ... which version is the small calender control from the toolbox, it looks like the commoncontrol 5.0 MonthView, witch is used from PB Forms too, but its behavier is different ...

      Bye
      Hubert
      Regards,
      Hubert

        Hi Hubert,

Yes, the help file integration is broken. This was identified on the PlanetSquires forums last week. I will post a fix this weekend.

FireFly simply uses the Win32 Common Control class "SysMonthCal32" calendar control. Refer to: http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/libr...17(VS.85).aspx

          Paul,

There is a typo in the link - it still points to firefly_290.zip

New upload to (hopefully) fix the Help file problem.

(Ian, you clicked the link between the time I uploaded the fixed update and the new HTML file with the updated link - about a two minute window!... try downloading again).

Not a problem - I downloaded it the old-fashioned way.

A program is never "ready" . Nevertheless count me in, Paul! This ole die-hard DDT'er wants to learn some new SDK tricks. Looking forward to FF3.

                  Hi Joop,

Beta testing it as we speak. There is a couple of major items still not to the point where I would like it to be. Overall, however, I really like Version 3. It does everything FireFly 2 does and brings a number new things to the table as well. I use FireFly 3 everyday so it is quite useable in its current state. Not sure if it will be one month, two months, or one year before it can be released.

In other words, it'll be ready when it is ready, stay out of the kitchen
