All of this is part of a complete integrated Visual Designer/GUI Code Generator/GUI runtime package. You don't have to purchase a tool just for graphics, but you get it all in one package.

The price for GDImage Pro is Euro 450, and the standard version has been discontinued a couple week ago.

I do not have a discount or on going super-sale promotion policy, because i feel always sick when i buy a new suit and then i see it sold for half the price because of the "soldes/sale" season. Also, if you are in need of a good graphic control with advanced features, then you must pay for it, because it tooks me years to write it.

And GDImage is the only graphic package that you can try as long as you want to make sure that you have done the good choice, nobody else, here, is offering such try/before you buy.

I'll be the first to say that GDImage is an amazing graphic tool and any comparisons made in my posts were simply to compare the "value" between Designers, not graphic tools.

GDImage really takes advantage of a number of features found in XP and Vista, which are nearly impossible to do otherwise.

It should be noted, that professional Visual Basic programmers for years have spent a lot more on third party components, than the price for GDImage.

While the price may be out of reach of many hobby programmers, if you are developing high end graphic based applications and need and edge on development, GDImage may well easily pay for itself in the long run.

Most quality software has a huge cost in "man hours" during development, being in the hundreds and sometimes thousands of man hours. To calculate the value of a tool like GDImage, consider how long it would take your programmers (in a business) to even come close to writing the same features and how many man hours it would take and then you will likely see the value in paying one time a reason fee for such a tool. If you paid your programmers $30/hr, then the price of GDImage is just a couple days pay of one programmer.
