By the way, i would like to do the same thing with an Adobe Flash animation, if you know of a free FLV file showing a cloudy sky, please let me know.

This could also be done with GDI32, as long as you work in composited mode (painting from bottom to top of the z-order) and using the Alphablend API to display the child controls and HALFTONE to stretch the background plus double buffer technic
