I seen a documentary and do agree, when it becomes affordable it maybe there right away.
If so, i expect termoil since current energy like oil and electricity will no longer payed for in regions where sp get's introduced first.
This means oil price will rise severly in a day, since they'll loose so much buyers!
I suspect solar power get's here in only a few years, like 2-5.
There is no slow implementation, it can't be.
The world will use oil or solar power, no mix.
It will render your car and machines obsolete, it may make people broke.
